Nash Gallery and Café | a feast for the senses
Nash Gallery and Café is a feast for the senses. Established in the main street of Esk in historic Lars Anderson house we combine our two passions — making hand thrown crystalline pottery and creating tasty food filled with fresh herbs & local produce. So come in, stay awhile and discover unique artwork, hand made gifts and the special healing power of flowers bottled by One Garden Essences.
We're open for breakfast, lunch and sweet-in-betweens. We also cater for special dietary needs. And our menu is constantly changing with the seasons. Easy disability access and our lawns are pet friendly.
Esk is an exciting part of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and the Brisbane Valley Tourist Drive, full of history and we're thrilled to be serving South East Queensland's most divine coffee, from master roasters Elixir, as well as speciality teas. Our French Earl Grey is a particular favourite.
We're just an hour from Brisbane and a perfect stop over whilst heading for Somerset wine country. We were featured on Channel 7's lifestyle program The Great South East, as a recommended tourist destination.
Come and doodle on our tables and enjoy what we have to offer at Nash Gallery and Cafe

HISTORIC HOUSEThis historic house was built by Lars Andersen, who arrived in Australia from his native Denmark in June 1885 aged 24. His brother Jens, was already working in Esk as a blacksmith, and Lars quickly set up business as a builder. He married Janet Dunlop and together they had 8 children. He is remembered as an excellent employer, fair and always humble and he often celebrated with his staff with picnics held in the front gardens of this beautiful house.
